SMD air core RF inductors have extremely high Q factors and very tight 
inductance tolerances, making them suitable for narrowband RF amplifier matching
and tuning applications. As their name implies, air-core inductors do not use a
magnetic core, resulting in the high Q and the lowest possible losses for high-frequency
applications. High-reliability versions are available for space, military, and other critical applications.
